Level 4

Purchase Pikachu for its strong attacks, especially effective against the upcoming Pidgey. Also, buy potions, Antidote, Rare Candy 2/3, and Parlyz Heal for battle preparation. Line up your team with ground, flying, and electric types like Rattata, Pikachu, Metapod, and optionally Pidgey/Spearow, all around level 5 (Metapod at level 7).

Battle against a girl with a Rattata (level 6), Pidgey (level 6), Pikachu (level 6), Spearow, and Nidoran (level 7). Use strategic moves like Rare Candy on Metapod to evolve into Butterfree, defeat each Pokémon with effective matchups or brute force, and secure victory.

Level 5

After a tough battle, unlock Diglett and prepare for a challenging Gym Battle at Pewter City. Stock up on Potions, Rare Candy 4, and strengthen your team with Diglett. Face Luigi with his Diglett and Sandshrew (levels 10-11), using strategic Pokémon rotations and attacks to overcome his tough lineup.

Level 6

Win Geodude after defeating Luigi. Prepare for another tough battle against a trainer with two Geodudes. Use Rare Candy 5 on Metapod to evolve into Butterfree, relying on Confusion and Harden moves to secure victory. Potions may be necessary to sustain through the battle.
